Challenging the stereotype: Snow white
- What might a female character do that is different from the original?
- She might speak out against her step mother (The queen) and her mistreatment of her.
- She might try to build a shelter for herself outside instead of trying to find a house.
- If she does go to the dwarfs house she could tell them that she will do some of the cooking a cleaning but they have to learn to do it too so she is not their slave and they will do half while she does half.
- She might turn away the witch when she offers her poisonous items.
- When the prince asks her to marry him she might say no or get to know him before she makes her final decision.
- Instead of working the house she could have got a real job
- She could have killed the queen or reported her to child protection at the very least.
- Identify a situation in which she speaks. What might she say?
She would wake up in the coffin and see the Prince. He would explain the situation to her about how he thought she was so beautiful in her coffin and wanted to keep her as a possession. Snow White responds horrified by telling the Prince he is exceptionally creepy tell him she would never marry him and to find someone else.

- Strength
- Bravery
- looking after themselves in challenging situations (Like being stuck in the woods)

- How they use their position for good
- Use their voice
- She is royalty she could use her diplomatic position to do something about the fact that she has been wronged, maybe go to another kingdom.
- What might she be punished for?
- Being pathetic
- Being weak
- Being quiet of submissive
