Snow white

Yesterday I finished watching Snow White and I have to say that there was not much I liked about it at all. Like its easy to blindly watch Snow White and become absorbed in how pretty and cute she is and how kind she is to the animals and people who surround her but that isn't watching it critically and since I was watching it critically I noticed many things that were not quite right about Snow White. 

The Dwarfs

Firstly the dwarfs are a terrible representation of men. They don't know how to cook or clean for themselves or wash or anything. They only know how to mine diamonds. This gives a terrible message as it represents that men do not know how to take care of themselves and they need a woman to take car of them.

Beauty

The queen is so obsessed with beauty that she goes to the extent of trying to kill Snow White (multiple times) and ends up killed in the process. The only reason the dwarfs do not kill Snow White is because she is beautiful. The prince kisses and marry Snow White in the end because she is beautiful and she doesn't protest or anything but just gets carried away back to his castle. 

Snow Whites submissiveness

Snow White is quick to blame herself, she says she is ashamed of the fuss she mad in the rest even though she was perfectly right to make a fuss because she had literally almost been axe murdered. Despite the fact that she is hiding out away from a murderous queen she is very submissive towards the dwarfs telling them she will cook and clean for them. When she has been awoken by the prince she dons even protest to the fact that he is carrying her away to his castle.
