Mr Andrews had a look at our film today and told us it looked a bit more like in infomercial on how to hack rather than a documentary. I really see where he is coming from there. He said we need to talk about the impact that hacking has on the youth of Australia before we can begin to talk about hacking, and even then we don't have to show all the steps, we could just go through them very quickly. As well as this he recommended that we call the police department and ask to talk to the cyber unit to see if they can throw in their two cents to the issue. As well as this we can also use interviews with actual people as long as we cite them correctly. I definitely think we should do this.
This has left me with a lot of things to fix up, in terms of my section of film.
So this weekend
- Abby and I have to interview ABbys mums friend who was scammed on faceboook
- Call and record a phone call with the department of cyber as part of our hacking section
- Re edit my section to talk about the impact first and take out all the steps of how to hack a Facebook to make it look more like a documenrty and less like an infomercial.
