People of power and the rule of thirds

Today in media we talked more about the Rule of thirds. The rule of thirds is a famous rule that allows people's eyes to be drawn to certain parts of the frame, also referred to as the golden spiral. We watched part of the movie Drive as visually, it was amazing. The way they did it was use a quadrant template over most of the shots and manipulate what was happening in each section of the quadrant to create meaning.

To add interest in this scene there is something going on in every quadrant, so there is lots of interest for the audience.

After this activity we had a go at the quadrant system. We hate to take two photographs. One of us and a friend engaging in conversation where we are of equal power and one photo of us and a friend engaging in conversation where one person was more powerful than another. But the hard part was we had to do this without using extreme angles, instead, we had to use the rule of thirds. I will post the photos soon!
