The hero's journey in common culture and popular culture.

The héros journey is used a lot in many of the stores we have grown up with, and I have only really realised this since Ive been studying this unit in FTV.

For example: The hero's journey is used in Harry potter

I have found this website that lists the hero's journey steps and how they relate to the harry potter series and each of the books/films.

But there are so many more popular culture films and books that use the hero's journey
for example
- Alice in wonderland
- Charlie and the chocolate factory
- Star wars
- The wizard of Oz
- The lord of the rings

Even Mean Girls uses the heroes journey.

A presentation was done on Prezi.com explaining how mean girls makes up the hero's journey. Here are some slides from it: https://prezi.com/avlwzauipjeu/the-heros-journey-mean-girls/
