Teaser trailers

Teaser trailers can often give just enough information away leaving the audience feeling gripped, epic and like they really want to see the film. Recently I went to the movies and saw unfriended, I have to say it was way scarier than the teaser trailer made it out to be. For one thing, I watched the teaser trailer a heck load of times, it always came up over ads on youtube videos. I think they were trying to make the film appear not as scary as it really is to attract a wider audience and fool them into thinking oh its just a computer movie how bad can it be. I can tell you I was pretty scared. There was also quite a bit of gore in it, some was left in, like the guy blending his hand then his face, but there was all sorts of stuff that got left out. Maybe they were sonly trying to show some of the gore in order to intrigue the viewers. Thee is certainly a lot of screaming and fear in the trailer but honestly it doenst look very scary and it looks a little stupid, the movie is a little stupid but it is still way scarier than the trailer makes it out to be.
