Shots and why

Slight high angle to represent that Adriana's character is feeling vulnerable. She is about to be questioned by the police and has just been told a fan has been killed at her signing.

Long shot to establish the setting and context

Dark shadowy lighting to represent something bad has happened. Adriana is in shadow to make the viewers think she is not innocent. Flower shadows are reflected onto the walls as in this film dying flowers are a motif for evil.

Low angle as the Police woman has the power in this situation

Close up to clearly show her facial expression as facial expressions are a key part of Hitchcock story telling

Shadowy lighting but her face is lit as she is a character with good intentions

Fairly shadowy lighting on Adriana to make the viewers question whether or not she is innocent. It also represents something terrible has happened
