Filling in the scenes
So Today I made an executive decision. I was finding it really hard to keep bringing in "extras" as in people who are kinda just doing me a favour being in this film and have nothing to do with this subject. They either couldn't come, didn't show up, didn't respond to my emails (fair enough honestly) Basically what the scene I was imagining filming originally was, was the fans all huddled around looking scared while Adriana frantically talks to Marina about their next move after the fan has been murdered. I had to adapt this scene. Libby couldn't make it to play Marina and I had no extras. Luckily for me the scene turned out better than I could have ever expected it to. We had to change the story around a bit. Now it kinda looks like all the fans have been evacuated and Adriana is sitting alone waiting for the police. When the police asks her for witnesses he says all her fans have left and Marina has gone to start the car explaining everyones absence. I think it worked out really well. As well as this I was really pleased with the lighting in this scene. The last time I filmed it I don't feel there was enough shadow on Adriana and many of my shots were not within the rule of thirds. I tried my best to get all shots within the rule of thirds. I also made the lighting on Adriana more shadowy to make quinces question whether she was the one that killed the fans after all. It turned out well!. I also used my motif of dead flowers to represent evil, placing them in the background and projecting their sharp shadows onto the wall. Again I filmed the whole scene though a few times from different angles as it gave the whole thing a far more natural feeling to it. I loved how it turned out overall.
