Resurrection

My trailer explores the life of a girl named Jinx who has the ability to resurrect the dead, and who’s life is turned upside down after a tragedy.

KEY CHARACTERS

Jinx is a confident 16 year old girl who loves her family and friends more than anything. She has the power to resurrect the dead

The psychic is a mysterious young woman who has the ability to turn back time and a great love for helping others.

Annabelle is Jinx’s best friend, she is funny and friendly. 

SUMMARY

Jinx’s world is turned upside down after visiting a psychic who tells her she possesses the ability to resurrect. After a tragic accident Jinx must learn to master her skill in order to bring back her friend.

SCENES NOW

A Psychic places a crystal ball and tarot cards on a table. A car door slams. A psychic pours tea into a cup as Jinx walks into the room “You have the ability to restore the too young and too tragically departed.” Jinx leaps up and backs out of the room. 

A car drives down a suburban road, two friends are laughing, suddenly the sounds or wrenching metal and shattered glass scream sound as the screen goes black. 

Jinx wakes up disorientated her friend is sprawled next to her dead. “What do I do!?” Jinx makes exasperated attempts to sit up. 

Jinx pull’s on a black cardigan and smooths her hair. The camera looks up at Jinx as she places a bouquet of flowers onto a grave. 

Jinx storms into the psychics room. “I’m sorry for your loss.” Jinx is furious. “You were wrong about me, I can’t resurrect.” The psychic, while gazing at a jar of wilting flowers informs Jinx that she can help her bring her friend backs but she will need training and practise. “You will red to restore the wilting plants as your first task.” Jinx googles ‘people who can resurrect’. The psychic tells Jinx that when she goes back she will need to believe in herself. “What do you mean go back?”. “I have the ability to send one back in time in dire circumstances.” “I’m ready now.” The psychic sharply tells jinx she isn't ready.

Jinx thrashes in her sleep. “You need to put you self back into that situation.” “Your back there on that day.” Jinx clutches the car’s steering wheel desperately. The psychics tells Jinx that she is ready.

The sound of wrenching metal, broken glass and screaming are heard. The screen is black. 

Jinx opens her eyes and clutches her friends arm. Jinx opens her eyes and lets go of her friends arm. Jinx’s friend gasps for air fade to white.
